【摘要】:Heatflowmeterapparatusarebeingusedtomeasurethecenter-of-panelportionofavacuuminsulationpanel,whichtypicallyhasaveryhighvalueofthermalresistivity[thatis,equaltoorgreaterthan90m-K/W(12.5h-ft2-x00B0;F/Btu-in.)].AsdescribedinSpecificationC1484,thecenter-of-panelthermalresistivityisused,alongwiththepanelgeometryandbarriermaterialthermalconductivity,todeterminetheeffectivethermalresistanceoftheevacuatedpanel.Usingaheatflowmeterapparatustomeasurethethermalresistivityofnon-homogenousandhighthermalresistancespecimensisanon-standardapplicationoftheequipment,andshallonlybeperformedbyqualifiedpersonnelwithunderstandingofheattransferanderrorpropagation.Familiaritywiththeconfigurationofboththeapparatusandthevacuumpanelisnecessary.Thecenter-of-panelthermaltransmissionpropertiesofevacuatedpanelsvaryduetothecompositionofthematerialsofconstruction,meantemperatureandtemperaturedifference,andthepriorhistory.Theselectionofrepresentativevaluesforthethermaltransmissionpropertiesofanevacuatedpanelforaparticularapplicationmustbebasedonaconsiderationofthesefactorsandwillnotapplynecessarilywithoutmodificationtoallserviceconditions.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofsteady-statethermaltransmissionthroughthecenterofaflatrectangularvacuuminsulationpanelusingaheatflowmeterapparatus.1.2Totalheattransferthroughthenon-homogenousgeometryofavacuuminsulationpanelrequiresthedeterminationofseveralfactors,asdiscussedinSpecificationC1484.Oneofthosefactorsisthecenter-of-panelthermalresistivity.Thecenter-of-panelthermalresistivityisanapproximationofthethermalresistivityofthecoreevacuatedregion.1.3ThistestmethodisbaseduponthetechnologyofTestMethodC518butincludesmodificationsforvacuumpanelapplicationsasoutlinedinthistestmethod.1.4ThistestmethodshallbeusedinconjunctionwithPracticeC1045andPracticeC1058.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.EitherSIorinch-poundunitsareacceptableinthereport,unlessotherwisespecified.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
