【摘要】:Toproperlyevaluateprefabricatedverticaldrains,testsmustbeperformedaccordingtospecifictestmethodsandprocedures.Failuretofollowthispracticecanresultindatanotrepresentativeoftheproductrsquo;characteristicsandperformance.1.1Thisguideprovidesrecommendationsfortheselectionofappropriatetestmethodsforprefabricatedverticalgeocompositedrains(sometimesreferredtoasWickDrains)usedingeotechnicalengineeringapplicationstoprovideconsistencyindatareporting.1.2Thisguideincludestestmethodsforalltypesofprefabricatedgeocompositedrainsmanufacturedinaplantandconsistingofapolymericcorestructurewithasyntheticfabric(geotextile)jacketforfiltration.1.3Thisguideisintendedtoaidallpersonnelinvolvedintheselection,manufacture,installation,orevaluationofprefabricatedverticaldrains.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
