【摘要】:Preformedtapesealantsaretacky,deformablesolidsthatareusedundercompressionbetweentwosubstratesinavarietyofsealingapplications.Thisproceduremeasuresthesoftnessofapreformedtapesealantandgivesanindicationofthepreformedtapesealant''seaseofcompressionduringinstallation.Theresistancetopenetrationmayalsogiveanindicationofthetoughnessofthepreformedtapesealant.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesalaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingthesoftnessofpreformedtapesealants.Note18212;ConepenetrationmethodsapplicabletogreasesandtopetrolatumaredescribedinTestMethodsD217andD937.TestMethodD2451alsousesapenetrationtechniquefordeterminingthedegreeofsetinsashglazingcompounds.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesisareforinformationonly.1.3ThesubcommitteewithjurisdictionisnotawareofanysimilarISOstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
